WHAT IS IT ALL ABOUT?

The Volvo Adventure - in partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme - is an educational programme that rewards environmental activities and the decision-makers of the future.

To enter, you form a team of 2 to 5 members aged 13 to 16 years and perform an environmental project in your local community. You submit the project via our online submission tool before January 31st 12pm, 2009 deadline (CET). Projects are judged during February / March and the best projects are selected for an all expenses paid trip to Göteborg, Sweden where they can win: 1st place = 10,000 USD, 2nd = 6,000 USD and 3rd = 4,000 USD.See the registration details and guidelines for more information.

DE QUÉ SE TRATA EL VOLVO ADVENTURE?
Volvo Adventure - en colaboración con el Programa de las Naciones Unidas para el Medio Ambiente - PNUMA - es un programa educativo que premia las actividades ambientales y a los tomadores de decisiones del futuro.

Para entrar, debes formar un equipo de 2 a 5 miembros de 13 años a 16 años de edad y desarrollar un proyecto ambiental en su comunidad local. The Adventure begins again
Arranged in collaboration with the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP) the Volvo Adventure Award rewards active young people who create their own environmental projects. We are now searching for the 2008 winners – could it be you? All you have to do is register and enter your project by visiting the website.
By registering, you have the opportunity to win an all-expenses-paid trip to the final in Sweden and the chance of a financial reward that could make it possible to run, improve or enhance your project. For young people it could be an adventure that offers a chance to make new friends all over the world, attract international recognition for their project.
There are two competitions: The Volvo Adventure will be for young people between 13 and 16 years old. Anyone working on a practical environmental project aged can enter. They need to be working in groups of two to five people and actively involved in devising and managing the project.
There is a new Great Big Bob the Bunny Cartoon competition for the under 13 years of age. Young people are invited to create a cartoon picture using Bob the Bunny and send it to Volvo. The best cartoons will be collated into a book of environmental messages and the team of people with the best cartoons will be invited to a UNEP Children’s conference in Stavanger, Norway in 2008.
