Conferencia Internacional de Niños TUNZA 2009 // TUNZA International Children's Conference 2009

El Programa de las Naciones Unidas para el Medio Ambiente (PNUMA) en cooperación con Comité Nacional del PNUMA de la República de Corea organizan para el 2009 la Conferencia Internacional TUNZA para niños sobre el Medio Ambiente en Daejeon, Corea, del 17 al 21 de agosto de 2009. La Conferencia cuyo tema será el "Cambio Climático: Nuestro Desafío" reunirá alrededor de 400 participantes (de 10 a 14 años) de más de 100 países.

Se trabajarán los siguientes temas: * El cambio climático y sus efectos sobre la biodiversidad. * El cambio climático y los jóvenes. * Agua. * Estilo de vida sostenible.

Los delegados serán introducidos en la nueva estrategia TUNZA (2009-2014), y se discutirá su papel en la aplicación de la misma. Los delegados también podrán dar sugerencias sobre los temas de la Conferencia Internacional de la Infancia sobre el Medio Ambiente 2010. Los cuatro días de Conferencia culminarán con la elaboración de resoluciones sobre el cambio climático que se presentarán en el Foro Climático de los Niños que se desarrollará en Copenhague, Dinamarca, en diciembre de 2009.

The United Nation Environment Programme (UNEP) in cooperation with UNEP National Committee for the Republic of Korea will be hosting the 2009 Tunza International Children’s Conference on the Environment in Daejeon, Korea from the 17 to 21 August 2009. The Conference whose theme will be "Climate Change: Our Challenge" will collectively bring together about 400 participants (aged 10 to 14) from over 100 countries.
The daily themes will include: *Climate change and its effect on bio-diversity. *Climate change and young people. *Water. *Sustainable lifestyle.
The delegates will be introduced to the new Tunza Strategy (2009-2014), and will discuss their role in the implementation of the Strategy. The delegates will also give suggestions on the themes for the 2010 International Children’s Conference on the Environment. The four-day Conference will culminate in resolutions on climate change to be presented to the Children’s Climate Forum in Copenhagen, Denmark in December 2009.
